Hi... I passed CA final in Nov 2008. I also compelted ICWA, CS, MBA etc. courses.

Let me tell you. 5 months are enough for CA inter .... you should immediately start.... leave no probs... you should prepare for exams directly without anticipating any leave. Try to study outside your office for at least 6-7 hours a day and in the week ends 10-12 hours a day. See if you study in office for at least 3-4 hours (if possible) by copying the files into computer or practicing the stuff on computer or on paper. Even if you can't study in office that's fine. Out of office study of 6-7 hours each day coupled with week end study of 10-12 hours is enough. If possible increase these hours..... Leave is additional benefit but do not anticipate that to postpone your studies.

But you should start NOW... and plan the timings and study by yourself. Remember.. you must have at least 2 revisions apart from fiirst reading (for all subjects). So, total reading should be for at least 3 times and do not leave any page / para... read everything..... prepare notes only for very imp and confusing items (do not loose time in preparing notes... its not must at all).... I would suggest you to study SUBJECT by SUBJECT... like every subject for about 10-12 days ... then move on to next one. You can also plan on doing 2-3 subjects at a time. But studying all 6 subjects at the same time is not preferred option for me as it will remove the concentration, interest and focus on a the topic we are reading..... lastly, if you know anyone who has done CA, ICWA, CS... get with him to get some idea of how to make your study plans. If you can't reach out anyone, you know what to study... you know that you need to study that for at least 3-4 times (apart from your coaching time... meaning, coaching time will not count as "one reading"... if you do not take coaching that's even better.. its your independent study as such) and then plan your time according to how many pages you can cover per hour etc..... keep assessing how you move forward so that you can increase the hours where required...

thanks a lot dear venkat.

Hye Sneha ! I read ur post. All points are well elaborated by Mr. Venkat. However, he might miss one point which is Scanner. This is an absolutely helpful for you to see which topics are foremost important and which one need ur attention first.

I would like to share my experience when I failed PE-II in my first attempt. Instead of giving both the groups at a time, I went for single group at a time. I am not saying that u should go for it, but at least u can think over it.

And last, since five months are left and if ur giving both the groups, then "preparation from exam point of view" is necessary. Don't try to go deep in subject, prepare from exam point of view. After passing exam, u will have lot of months to streghthen ur basics.

BEST OF LUCK !!!!
