Subsidy from Govt for Submerging of crop-Reg

At the time of Paddy harvest,there was incessant rain Submerging entire paddy crops causing heavy damage and loss.As a relief ,our tamilnadu government has given amount which has been credited to the extent of Rs.38000/ in my bank account .I am an income tax assessee . Kindly guide me whether the sum Credited can be claimed as exempt from tax or have to offer it as income from other sources.
