Submission of Bill of Entry to bank

Earlier, as a proof of import, we were submitting the exchange control copy of bill of entry (BOE), to our bankers, who had made the foreign exchange remittance. But now there is no such exchange control copy. The BOE is available on line in RBI portal on daily basis and is available to bankers for download. But our bankers are insisting for us to submit the BOE copy. We as importers, do not receive any hard copy of the BOE. Is it enough if we forward the soft copy to bankers? or is there any other document to be submitted?

I would say it depends on your bank policies, in my case we do remittances through icici bank and the process there is really smooth. Right from booking the currency, uploading the remittance request to settlement of ORMs (BOE submission) everything is online no physical visits nor submission of any hardcopies.
your CHA not sending the BoE to you?

Can you please tell which bank?

We get final boe from icegate by email, which we download. Not from CHA. Our bankers are Canarabank. Not very happy about them.

Ohh than paperless system can be expected only after privatisation 😁

Yes. Certain like port code,  boe details  , hsn etc to be submitted. Soft copy of boe suffices. Wr are doing this. Pl talk to AD
