Statutory auditor as an internal auditor

Can a CA firm be an internal auditor of the same company after competion of the tenure as statutory auditor ?  What does companies act say about this ?

Companies Act says that when you are a statutory auditor, you cannot provide a service as an internal auditor of the company or its holding company or its subsidiary company.

However, after your term as statutory auditor is completed, there is no restriction on appointment as an internal auditor.
