Currently Stamp duty on issue of share certificates is Rs. 1 for every one thousand Rs. of value of share. Previous to this amount of duty was re. 1/- irrespective of the value of share certificate, can anybody tell me the date upto which the duty was Re. 1/-

i think this was increased vide in amedment 2003

Here are the stamp duty rates which were applicable from time to time-
|
Upto 09-12-1985
|
0.50 paise per share certificate
|
|
From 10.12.1985 to 16.03.1988
|
Re. 1 per share certificate irrespective of value
|
|
From 17.03.1988 to 31.03.1993
|
Re. 1 for Rs. 100/- or part thereof (1%)
|
|
From 01.04.1993 to 30.4.1994
|
50 paise per Rs.100/-
|
|
With effect from 01.05.1994
|
Re. 1 for every one thousand including premium. (i.e. issue value)

As perentry -19 & 36 to schedule-IA of UP Stamp act, the rate is 2 annas per certificate irrespective of value of shares.

to issue the share certificate the stamp duty in delhi is 0.1 percent, but for transfer of share it is 0.25% in delhi

Hi, I want to know what will the Share No if Mr. A transfer part of his shares to Mr. X & Mr. Y. in a Private Limited Comp.
Mr. A held 1 to 5,000 shares. Now he transfers 1500 shares to Mr X & 1500 Shares to Mr Y & he himself holds balance 2000 shares. Now at the time of Issuing the Certificate what will be the Share Numbering in the Share Certificate
Also do the company needs to pay any kind of Stamp Duty & can it be paid on line.
