simple equation hai.. agar profit cost price pe 1/3rd hai to selling price pe profit 1/4th ho jayega.. similarly agar profit cost price pe 1/5th hai to Selling price pe 1/6th ho jayega. Hamesha base ko increase dena hai. Its a short cut used..

you can understand this. for eg: if CP is 100, profit is 25 and SP is 125 , then profit on CP will be 25/100 =25% or 1/4th

likewise same  profit on SP will be 25/125=20% or 1/5th.

so in you problem  TOTAL SALES = CASH SALE + CREDIT SALE

hence the equation will be   CASH SALE = 1/3rd on CREDIT SALE

like wise same CASH SALE will be  CASH SALE = 1/4th on TOTAL SALE
