Quick Summary
This discussion explores the tax implications of receiving a government solar panel subsidy in the UK. Specifically, it addresses whether a £140,000 subsidy received by a pensioner directly into their bank account, intended to reduce the purchase cost, is considered taxable income under UK income tax laws, especially when the individual has no other business income.

Reduce it from the cost of purchase.

Assessee is pensioner and he received 140000 subsidy in his bank account

He must have paid more than what is received as subsidy. (most likely about Rs. 2.60 L).

My query is
An individual with no business income who is receiving, solar panel subsidy in his saving bank account?? what would be its tax implication under income tax??

As I said earlier not taxable.
