Signature on exam application

Hi friends I recently applied for may 16 Final exam. Currently iam in exam leave and staying at my native which is far away from my place of articleship. Is it mandatory for me to get my exam application signed by my principal or Is it OK if I get it signed by any other CA in my area??? Iam going to complete articles by March 26
