I think you should train yourself with SAP accounting package.

It is a highly advanced accounting package and widely used these days. Its exposure would be helpful to you in the future.

I would be greatful if you could elaborate a little more on the topic as to How can i train myself with the SAP accounting package.
whether there is any body governing SAP, where can i get the required coaching (whether institutions offer SAP coaching) , and whether there is any eligibility/qualifications required and whether there is an exam for SAP.
I mean when can i say that i have trained myelf for SAP accounting.

You must be aware of packages like Tally, ERP etc. These are accouting packages which have taken over the accounting  system these days.

SAP is a highly advanced accounting package which takes care of all the transactions/events pertaining to an organization.

It has several modules, finance, costing, HR, Materials Management, Production Planning among others. It is a very costly course, but very helpful since Small & Medium Enterprises are now turning over to SAP. Wherever you go for Interviews or work, they may ask you about your knowledge of SAP.

You can take the courses module by module. Search for Institutes offering the course in your city on the internet. Since  you are doing correspondence courses, you can  go the institutes and get hold of SAP. There is no exam for entering the course.
