Should self-assessment tax be deposited after rounding off?

923 views 1 replies

Suppose someone calculates total income tax to be paid as Rs10167 and TDS deducted by employer is Rs9012. Should he deposit self assessment tax of Rs(10167-9012)=Rs1155 or round off to Rs 1160 and deposit this amount?

Second, is there any problem in calculating income tax payable and deducting TDS without rounding off as given above?

Thanks for suggestions.
