Maybe the more important question should be
"Why you want to become a Chartered Accountant?".
Age doesn't matter. Many of us are late bloomers. I believe age is a threat to success, and the sooner you get rid of worrying about your age, the better off you'd be in the future.
Good luck, and start prearing for CPT. It's not that tough. I scored a 160, without coaching. And I was a Science student throughout High School. I only studied for CPT for 2 months. When I started off, I didn't even know what a Balance Sheet was, let alone Debit and Credit :S.
So I'm pretty sure you'd be able to do a lot better. Have faith in yourself.
