Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether it's possible to claim short-term capital losses from previous years on the current tax return. The general consensus is that this is not possible unless the losses were correctly reported in the relevant Income Tax Returns (ITRs) for those past years. If they weren't reported, you cannot retroactively adjust them.
