Recently i have started my own recruitment firm in new delhi.I dont have the service tax number.I just wanted to know whether it is mandatory to pay service tax even if my expected annual income is less then 10Lakh?
Is it an offence to give the services without getting registered and without having service tax number?
How do i get the service tax number?
I have raised few invoices without mentioning the Service Tax No.
You have to apply for ST registration once your income reaches 9 lacs in a particular FY. As of know, you don't have to worry. You can bill your clients without adding service tax.

no problem. but if your turnover is exceeds Rs.10 lakhs then it is a problems. still ur income touches the Rs.9 lakhs limit so it is not a problems at al. once if it touches the Rs,9 lakhs then go for registration.
sir, if your income dint exceed RS9 lakhs, then there is no need for registration. Registration becomes compulsory only if your income exceeds Rs9 lakhs during the financial year
Yes if your total billing gets exceeds 9 lakh then only u are requried to get registered
When your aggregate value of taxable services reaches Rs 9 lakhs you should register with in 30 days by making an application to the Superintenent of Central Excise.
