Sevice tax for in case of conversion - urgent

Hello ,

A sole-proprietor has been converted into Private ltd company .There was IEC code,service tax registration , sales tax registration for the sole-proprietor ,So do I need to take fresh registration for IEC code , service tax registration , sales tax registration in the newly formed priavte ltd company.So what would be the procedure for it.Do I need to initmate respective authority about the cancellation of the registration in the name of sole-proprietor.

Further one office property is also in the name of the sole-proprietorship concern and the same is also taken over by the private limited company so is there any formality required in this regard.

As regards as service tax is concerned u need to take fresh registration.bcoz service tax code is PAN based,ur company PAN will be different from individual PAN,so u need to take fresh STC.

as regards as ur individual business is concerned,as u ceases to provide ur services,u need to cancel ur service tax registration number

procedure for registration

apply in form ST1 to the superendant of central excise along with the following documents

PAN OF COMPANY

M.O.A OF COMPANY

CERTIFICATE OF COMMERNCEMENT OF BUSINESS

BOD'S PAN AND THEIR RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS

STC will be issued with in 7days in form ST 2. if not issued with in 7days from the date of applying in form ST1,u are deemed to be registered.deeming provision will not be applicable in case of centralised registration
