Dear Friends

I have given both the group in june 2009 and cleared my 1^st group(CA PCC) & in that I secured 172 marks & in 2nd group i secured 121marks. Now I am preparing for 2^nd group some of mine friends told me that if I am having above 150 marks in any of the group u can take relief of that marks to the extent of exceeding 150 i.e. (172-150)=22 so I have to secure 128 marks in the 2^nd group in next attempt with 40 marks in each subject because previously I have given both groups so I can take this benefit.

So please friends tell me is I am able to get relief of 22 marks in 2^nd group & I have to secure just 128 marks.reply me as soon as possible.

No...

Such relief is available only when u give both the groups together...

U r not eligible to get that relief of 22 marks now.., u've to secure 150 marks in group 2. if u want to clear PCC..

Such a relief is avialable only when u attempt both the groups + u secure minimum 40 marks in all subject.....

looking at your case sorry to say but you are not eligible for any set off unless u give both groups again which is not advisable.

Concentrate on your second group i am sure u will clear it this time...

Buddy when u are giving both the group and clearing them "TOGETHER", then and then only u are eligible for such exemption or relief...

So, u have cleared one of ur grups earlier, that case is over, now u r preparing for 2nd grup wid a new beggining altogether (from ICAI perspective).... So, u r not eligible for that relief....
