Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether losses from share trading can be offset against profits from a textile business. Generally, losses from Futures and Options (F&O) trading can be set off. However, losses from intraday trading cannot be offset in this manner. Losses from specified trading activities are considered specified business losses and can be set off against profits from other specified businesses.

If its from F&O trading, then YES.

If loss is from Intraday trading, then not allowed.

No it's a specified business loss so set off against profit of specified business
