Set & carry forward of speculation loss of deceased wife

Sir/ Madam,

I want to know that

Whether legal heir ( HUSBAND )can set off and carry forward speculation loss of deceased wife from his own speculation gain ?

Case : Assessee is legal heir of his deceased wife who has speculation gain in this year. His deceased wife has speculation loss in previous as well as in current year. assessee want to set off his speculation gain from the loss of his wife and wanted to carry forward the same. The question is whether assessee can set off and carry forward speculation loss of his deceased wife from his own speculation gain.
