11 February 2013Interesting query: Wheather Cenvat credit can be denied on the basis that instead of maintaining seperate registers for capital goods and input good , a single register has been maintained by the company with name of CAPITAL GOODS CENVAT REGISTER and credit on both capital as well as input goods are utilized from this register.
Please suggest and give your valuable comments

Credit can not be denied. But insure that U R not manufacturing exempted goods or providing exempted services.

But cant the credit be denied on the basis that, since input goods are not covered under the defination of capital goods and the register is capital goods cenvat register thus the assessee cant claim
