Dear Concern, This is Vipin Kumar and working in a Shipping org. here we are receiving Invoices from Govt. of India (Port Health Org.) towards Fee for Conducting inspection on board for SSCEC, but they are not charging any service tax on their invoice. kindly suggest should we have to deduct TDS or Not. and Service tax is applicable or not? please do the needful.

Any payment made to govt orgn is exempt from tds u/s 196
