As the service tax return become mandatory for all assesses for the first time, Central Board of Excise and Customs extends the time limit up to December 26th 2011 as per ORDER NO. 1 /2011 .Considering the fact that the notification of mandatory efiling was given only  on 25.8.2011, During the short interval all assesse may not be able to arrange the requirements for electronic filing. So Service tax return for the half year April-September 2011 can be filed up to december 26  2011.
