Service tax registration problem

Local officer ( Superintendant Service Tax) was contacted yestereday but was unable to extend any help. He said that this is a totally on line activity (with the main server in Mumbai) and no manual intervention is possible from local offices. He further suggested that the helpdesk ( toll free 18001200232 , and email cbecmitra.helpdesk @ icegate.gov.in) may be contacted, which I did. After listening to the problem help desk asked me to mail screen shots of the problem faced, which I did ( yesterday) 

Thats the final status.
