One of my client is providing "Works Contract" Service from city of Vadodara & have got the "Registration of Single premise"

Now they want to open a branch at Mumbai, where separate books will be maintained apart from Vadodara office. Bills of service provided shall be issued from both areas shall be raised by respective offices & accordingly tax also shall be paid separately.

Now the question is, how to get the Mumbai branch registered with the Service tax department. Please note that the ownership is same & books are maintained separately (no centralised billing).

Must register seperately with department for you Mumbai Location.

Agree with Vipinji. Separate registration is required for Mumbai branch. Same ownership will not impact the registration. With regards the process of registration, follow the normal online procedure.

A seperate registration is needed, however you have to mention that u have already an registration, so that department would issue A____0000ZST002, ( 001 is your existing registration)

subsequently you can register as many as you need viz 002,003,004 ..............
