There is an abatement of 90% and 75% from the taxable value. If it is all inclusive i.e tickets/ hotel arrangment / transport then 90% else 75%

In case of domestic travel,ST Rate-0.5% of Basic Fare and Foreign travel-1% of basic fare

Two options: Ist option: 12% on service charges , or II option: Domestic travel - 0.50% of basic fare. Foreign travel- 1.00% of basic fare.

Just to update you all.. its 0.60% and 1.20% of the basic fare in case of domestic and international travel respectively This rate is amended wide notification 17/2006 Regards, Ajay Gumbar

For Domestic air : it is .618 % on basic fare

For International : it is 1.236  % on basic fare

In case of package tour service, Service tax is applicable on 25 % of gross amount charged @ 10.3%.\

In case when operator only provides booking services, service tax is applicable on 10 % of gross amount charged @ 10.3%.

In case of any other tour, Service tax will be applicable on 40 % of gross amount charged @ 10.3%.
