We need to pay service tax on works contract.We are the service reciever.
Should we use the service provider ST Regn numaber or should we use our (service reciver) ST Regn number for paying the service tax on works contract, and take credit for payment.
Please guide me in the above matter.

As per Notification No 30/2012 ST, the liability under reverse charges would stand individually (i.e you have to discharge your portion of liablity to the exchequer on time) after discharging you can avail credit provided the same is eligible as per Input service definition as per CCR 2004.
So, please discharge ST liability by quoting you Registration Number.
