I am new to this forum. I could not find any similar tread so started a new tread.
I am running resort and i am paying a rent of 157500Rs/monthly since dec 2010.
1. So from Dec 2010 to Mar 2011 i have paid 630000Rs. I hope i dont have to pay any service tax for 2010 as i have not crossed 10lakh rent. Please advice.
2. For the current year of now i have not paid any service tax till now. Assuming i will pay after 6th month of this years rent. ie after i pay a total of rent > 1000000 to my landlord. Please correct me if i am wrong. Please le tme know what is the amount that i have to pay.
3. Leaglly who is supposed to pay this service tax. The tenant or the landlord??? (there is nothing mentioned in the agreemant copy)
