Hi,
The rate of Service Tax in composition scheme is 4%.
I want to know wether Edu cess and Sec & higher Edu cess will be applied on the rate of 4%?
It will be nice if reply is alongwith some backup.

Hi, Yes the basic education cess and secondary education cess is applicable on composition rate of 4%. so effectively the rate of compoistion service tax rate is 4.12%.
