Service Tax on TDS deducted

TDS is also your part of income , so you will be liable for service tax .

First u think What is TDS ? than it self u gote ans.

TDS is deducted on payment or bokking whichever is earlier.

it implies that during the year if we have given services, liable to TDS and ser. tax, on which the receiveing party has deducted TDS, there will not be any bill on which service tax wont be payable, altough only on proportionate amount of TDS since it paid on collection basis.

right?

TDS is deducted from the gross amount of Bills/Tax Invoices, client party deduct TDS from Bill amount & generate TDS certificate , Service Tax payble on receive basis , So, u are liable to pay Service Tax on TDS amount but not other hold  /Retaintion money amount.
