Service Tax on SOFTWARE

It is very damaging to charge service tax on software. As it is there is 4% VAT, now 10% Service Tax ! DOes the Govt. want us to do Do-Number-Ka Dhanda?

Companies like us doing business in doemstic maket will die!

dear sodhi,
You true insense that multilevel tax on any product causes the inflation.
But as you ur a small scale software developer so i guess you won't hv income more than rs. 400000. Therefore you will b eligible for exemption under the notification
