Service tax on rentting of immovable property was introduced in 2007. Then delhi high court in the case of HOME Solutions retais pvt ltd held that service tax is not leviable on rent. Then govt by way of amendment clearified that service tax is leviable on renting of immovable property. Then delhi high court again granted stay on this to the app
Now i wanted to know what is the excate position today... whether we should pay the service tax or should wait till any further clearification. If any clearification has been brought then plz tell
