There was no such exemption Sir. Hair cutting Services ( categorised as Beauty treatment services ) was liable to Service Tax @ 14%. However if the Turnover of the Hair Cutting business was less than Rs. 10 lakhs ( the threshold limit ), then no Service Tax Registration was required.
All services are liable to pay tax except mega exemption notification no 25/2012 -st dated 20.6.2012with effect from 1.7.2012
as hair cutting is not coming on those categories
it is taxable in the period you mentioned

Everyone has long been accustomed to high taxes in the city where I live, and the haircut tax is also no exception. I think this is unnecessary, but on the other hand, the work of a hairdresser is also a profession that should be paid in full. Tax is withdrawn from any official payment, which is normal because taxes are our financial safety cushion in the future. So, thanks to high taxes, many pensioners manage to maintain a high standard of living when receiving pensions.
