Service tax on GTA - reimbursement

Queries 1158 views 2 replies

We are operating at different depots (different companies are appointed to act as depots). The freight from depot to customer is paid by the depots and reimbursed by the company. Whether service tax need to be deducted?

Dear Sir

As you told that you are operating with different depots, so ultimately expenses will be booked at your end. So you have  libale to pay service tax . So from my point of view it is appropriate that you should communicate to depot that bill should be in the name of your company,  then you can book the expenses at your end & pay the service tax accordingly.

Hope you query is resolved.
