One trader is required to pay lorry freight of more than a lakh to a carrier during this current financial year. As a trader he does not have any RC under Finace Act [ RC under Service tax}
How to pay the Duty here ST, to the Govt

The trader is an Individual
The carrier issued only freight memo with out any Reg. certificate no. -Service Tax RC Not seen in the memo
Dear Ganeshan,
As the person paying the freight is an individual therefore reverse charge will not be applicable here.
