My Queri is that whether Doctors were laible to service tax or not if he is Patnership Firm

Hi Balram,

Service Tax levy is not decided on the basis of corpus or entity but decided on the basis of nature of service provided.

Doctors are not covered in Service Tax even if they have gone for partnership structure.

ST is applicable only if Doctor is surgeon doing Plastic Surgery. That too it is supposed to be an elective plastic surgery and not resulting from accidents, burns or congenital defects.

DOCTORS ARE UNDER SERVICE TAX IF THEIR NATURE OF SERVICE IS OF COSMETIC SURGERY OR PLASTIC SURGERY FOR BEAUTIFICATION ONLY. HAIR PLANTATION FALLS UNDER SUCH CATAGORY
