09 August 2012We run a software export business in Delhi. Recently our total annual sales have crossed 10lac rupees. Does software exports also comes into service tax net?

As the threshold limit of 10L have crossed you need to take registration with the Dept.
Export of service is exempted from service tax levy if you meet the conditions mentioned under Rule 6A of the Service Tax Rules 1994 Previously, before 1/7/12, Export of Service Rules 2005 was applicable in this regard. One needed to comply with Rule 3 of said Rules.
