21 October 2012The question is in relation to service tax credit on Office space for CA practice. Following are the exact facts of the case :
1. The office is in name of a Partner
2. Service Tax registration is in name of firm
3. Can we claim credit of the same.
4. If the ST credit can not be claimed because of seprate name, please suggest a way, if available.

You can claim the cenvat credit on office space.

Yes cenvat credit can be availed in respect of amount paid as rent for office.
