Service Tax Already Received

U dint read the question properly dude i have received the amount from the company which is always inclusive of service tax it was my duty to pay service tax but i dont so i want to know what can i do now i want to cancel my service tax number also cos now my company is not doing any business

Dear Pratik,

Interest @ 13% per annum on daily basis is to be paid.

You have to apply for deregistration to the officer of Central Excise with whom u r registered.

Thanks for the queries so final ill pay all my dues than shall i deregister or ill do 1 thin ill deregister myself without payin anythin if any due comes while closure ill pay those off

Dear Pratik,

In the process of Deregistration u have to satisfy to the officer that "NO Dues" are there as far as Service Tax is concerned..

So it's not that u can degegister without paying service tax, he will call for the copies of ur earlier returns.
