Hi Could you please let me know the service tax on transport of goods from one place to another with in the state and other states and if it possible please give me with detailed explanation.

Ur question is not clear to me. However following may be given in this regard.
transport of goods by road attracts s.tax @ 12.36%. abatement of 75% available. payment responsibility lies with the service recepient. in case of transport of goods by air or water normal rate of s.tax prevails.

S.T. on GTA is payable by service receipient ....he can also avail cenvat at 100% if hye does not claim abatement of 75% ... otherwise he can't claim availment if he calims abatement of 75% n has to pay balance tax on GTA at 25%
