Please let me know whether service tax is applicable on Demurrage Charges?

As per rule 6 of SERVICE TAX (DETERMINATION OF VALUE) RULES, 2006
The amount realized as demmurage for consideration of service beyond the period of originally contracted or in any other manner relatable to the provision of service.
Thus demurrage for detention of vehicle or for any other reason would form part of value of taxable service.
