Suppose I paid Rs 100 to a party + Rs 14 as service tax i.e. total amount paid to party is rs 114.
However party refunds rs 20 . How to get back my service tax amount?

Service tax paid on rs.20 will be adjusted in the next month/ quarter.as per self adjustment rules
I think before adjustment in next quarter ,you have to intimate the Department.
It's more likely discount received from vendor.
You need to show discount received as income. It has nothing to do with service tax if you have received invoice 100 + 14
If you are reciver of the service, you can avail the credit proprotionately. Provider can avail the set off in subsequent months as per Rules.
