My client has 2 Pan Numbers, out of which he has surrender one to the income Tax deptt recently. He is also registered in Service tax with the PAN Number which he surrendered recently. I want to know is there any procedure to update the correct PAN number in service tax or he should apply for new registration in service tax and surrender the existing one.
He should apply for new RC as Service Tax Department is giving PAN based RC. If PAN do not exist then........???
Keeping two PAN number is an offence. However, he has surrendered one. If the RC is in the surrendered number, kindly approach your range and issue a letter to change the Number.
