Dear Sunil,

If you are an existing assessee only registration as a user of ACES is required. No need to file fresh ST -1 as the details of existing assessees are migrated to ACES. You need to follow the following steps:

1. First go to www.aces.gov.in and enter the TPIN & login password received by you through email at you registered email ID. If you have not received the same contact the range office to provide you the same.

2. After you login, goto RET, where you can opt for filling online return under Fill ST3 or you can download ST3 in Excel utility, fill it offline and upload it after filling it.

If you are a new assessee, you are first required to creat a Login ID on ACES, Fill in ST -1, wait for ST-2 to be issued and once you are registred with the Department you can follow the above steps to file your return.
