can i eligibl to claim the Service tax input even the S.Tax No. is on the Tax Invoice is with hand writing or Preprinted ST Number is to be required? -Pls clarify with reference to Provisions

You can claim the Service Tax input on the Bill, even if it is hand written. But the Registration No. should be a genuine number.
Also you can ask the Service provider to send you a scanned / photo copy of the Service Tax Registration No. (ie Form ST - 2) for your record.
