Seniors, need urgent advice: a/c assistant is a profession??

Dear Friends,

Since this is a CPA forum, I have a question:

I am applying to a new country's Immigration as an 'Accounting Assistant' with a Bachelors in Commerce and Accounting. Do I fall under the category of regulated professions/trade which includes Accountants, Chartered Accountants, etc.? I think that Accounting Assistant is very different from Accountant and therefore, I am not considered to be a professional who wants to practice a regulated trade/profession in the new country. Correct?

My immigration consultants are telling me that my work experience falls under the 'professional trade' category but I don't agree with them. I haven't even done a professional course in the first place.
