the second option mentioned by you should be adopted.

Else there is no meaning of undergoing articleship if its not considered as an experience.

We put in hard efforts and pains to complete articleship just as we do to clear CA

These corporates MNCS just want a reason to escape hiring a right candidate by giving excuses and not considering articleship as experience.

job posts now a days have crossed and exceeded all limits & heights of SHAME

It was acceptable even if they previously said they want a CA but now a days they have changed it to CA + 3 or 4 years POST QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE..

this means they want a CA who cleared in 2007 or 2008 who may have such experience... and there is hardly any chance  that his / her experience also would match the said descripttttions in Job post

So If this goes on one can imagine when the CAs that clear today in 2013 will get a chance, ??? in 2015 or 2016?? Till then what? sit at home?

Had we joined CA to sit at home? what abt the dreams? what abt the fact that we were being told always by our seniors and parents? that beta 4-5 saal padh lo acche se.... sab SACRIFICE kar ke...fir toh bas acchi si JOB join kar ke life set?? Who is responsible for whats happening today?

Additionally, beyond these drama, they have started cutting CTC & ARE QUOTING ONLY 1.5-2.5 LACS IN CITIES

Dont know where this will lead us...

Classes have made big monies by now.... apni life set ho na ho... unki ho gai hai....

we are still struggling....

BUT THE POINT IS..... NO BODY WILL DO IT FOR U......

U JUST ASK SUCH ADVICE GIVERS...TO GET  A JOB FOR U....IF THEY HAVE ONE.... I BET THEY WONT REPLY.... KEHENGE CV BHEJ....THEN THEY WILL SUDDENLY DISAPPEAR & NEVER ANSWER UR CALLS... BECOZ GIVING ADVICE IS EASIER THAN HELPING...TRULY

CLEAR KARO TOH JOB NAHI.... JOB HAI TOH SALARY NAHI...  APPLY KARO TOH CALL NAHI.... 

NO DOUBT CA IS A GREATEST PROFESSION AND WILL ALWAYS STAY GREATEST...CLEARING CA IS A MATTER OF PROUD... EVERY ONE IS PROUD TO DO IT....BUT STUDENTS & QUALIFIED PPL ARE TODAY CAUGHT BETWEEN THE CUNNING CORPORATE WORLD POLITICS AND HARDLY GET A CHANCE TO PROVE THEMSELVES - THAT HOW MUCH THEY CAN CONTRIBUTE TO OUR SOCIETY....

SILLY HR MANAGERS POST JOBS & DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT ARTICLESHIP TEACHES US & WHAT KNOWLEDGE WE HAVE AND WITHOUT EVEN TALKING TO US THEY REJECT OUR APPLICATIONS...SAYING AISE TOH BOHOT AATE HAI....AND DONT EVEN CONSIDER IT

BUT ITS A BIITTER FACT THAT WITH TIME......EXPECTATIONS INCREASE.... BUT OPPORTUNITIES DONT AT SAME SPEED....AND DISAPPOINTMENTS & PRESSURES LEAD A PERSON INTO CIRCUMSTANCES THAT EVEN HAVING SUCH A GREAT DEGREE ONE HAS  TO SOMETIMES LAND INTO A PETTY PACKAGED JOB.... 

AND ALTERNATELY PRACTICE KARE TOH CLIENTS NAHI....

WE ARE READY TO TAKE UP CHALLENGES ITS NOT THAT WE ARE SCARED... IF WE WERE SCARED WE WUD NEVER TAKE UP CA.....AND WUD HAVE JOINED AT SOME XYZ PLACE AFTER BCOM...

BUT ITS A MESSAGE TO ALL THOSE CORPORATES WHO FOLLOW IGNORANCE.... CA PROFESSION WILL ALWAYS STAY HIGH... NO MATTER HOW MUCH DIFFICULTIES WE GO THROUGH....WE WONT LET EVEN A SINGLE PERSON TO HURT ITS IMAGE OR REPUTATION.... 

EVEN RATAN TATA SAYS.... ANY ONE CAN RUN A BUSINESS....BUT A CA ONLY CAN TEACH HIM HOW TO DO BUSINESS.....

ICAI IS OUR MOTHER AND MOTHER TAKES CARE OF HER CHILD ALWAYS.....COME WHAT MAY!!

As per ICAI, there is no such thing like semi qualificafied or any thing....
There are only two persons, a member & a student.

 

I actually don't understand whats wrong with the job market...trying my level best to get in somewhere since last 2 months ..forget about being shortlisted there are no interview calls either. ..Only thing i think which works out in todays corporate world is a solid reference. even to reach the interview stage..Moreover people are jus clinging on to jobs with whatever packages they have and as my friend has already quoted above...people reject us outright on their own assumption or a rather percieved notion that we wont' continue once the results are out... dont know from were it all started. but i guess the institute should do something in this regard.

Also the companies feel that they can get a graduate with a lower package and train them .

One more reason for such unemployment of qualifieds and semi qualified 's is that already due to reservations in psu and bank jobs there is a less requirement for newly qualifieds .Also hardly anyone would leave a PSU or a govt job.Pvt companies have preferred to go for a lot of outsourcing and contractual work whereby even too senior people are either continuing in employment at the age of 60- 70 and others are providing consultancy services for finance ,accouts and tax, audit, CS matters. So finally very limied scope left for us.

Finally i think we are left with no choice but to accept whatever we get and in whatever industry we get settling not for a package but peanuts..

indeed quite frustrating after putting in so many years in past and still counting...

The institute should cut the period of articleship and ca-cpt should be made more difficult..

so that if entry is tougher less competition will be there.. and simultaneously value of semi qualified ca's will increase.. 

vaise b agar semi-qualified ko job mili to ca's ka kya hoga.. coz mkt me demand kam h n supply zyada.. 

so insti should make a balance b/w demand n supply

the current situation is something like ek anaar aur sao bimaar, let see what happens in coming days.
