Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the tax implications of selling gold, specifically focusing on capital gains tax. It clarifies that gold held for over 36 months is considered a long-term capital asset, subject to a special tax rate of 20%. Gold held for less than 36 months will be taxed at the normal slab rate as short-term capital gains.

It will be taxable under the head capital gains under Income tax . Long term capital asset like jewels should hold for 36 mths for satish as long term capital asset . special tax rate of 20 % in case of long term capital gains . short term capital gains at normal slab rate
Thanks sir
