Self assessment tax and itr update

I have filed income tax for the financial year 2018-19 using e-filing and i have e verified.

Assuming that i will get option to pay the tax due , i submitted . but didnt get the option .

 

please guide me how i can pay the self assessment tax now and update the details in the submitted ITR application .

Return filed without depositing tax is a defective return. and it is deemed that return has not been filed. so you deposit tax and file return normally.

pay tax using epay tax and then revise your return

yes pay tax and then update details of payment in return.

through intimation u/s 143(1) department shall arise demand and then you can pay,
but as per provision of sec 139(9) without payment of tax if u file the return it shall be treated as defective but practically you will see department issues demand notice through intimation u/s 143(1) ,
so it is advisable that pay the tax now by following the law.
