Self assessment tax/advance tax ?

I am a government employee. I deducted tds monthly for FY 2021-22.But did not deduct full tax from my salary. Can I pay the remaining amount by 31st March? How self assessment tax/advance tax ?

Yes till 31st Advance tax

For govt employees they consider the year from March to February ..But for income tax purposes April to March..

You keep the amount in FD 4 months and pay as self assessment tax at the time of filing ITR along with interest

Either you can pay under the head Advance Tax before 31st March 2022

Or you can pay after 31st March 2022 under Self Assessment Tax
