Sir/Madam,
Two of my clients' had paid self assessment tax around Rs. 5,000/- each on 31.03.2018, But, unable to file ITR for A.Y. 2017-18 on that day and now itself.
Can we get refund of the amount. Please suggest the solution.

The due date for filing ITR for AY 2017-18 was 31.03.2018. Now since the due date has elapsed one cannot file ITR for the said AY unless he gets a notice from Dept itself to file return eventhough the self assessment tax has been paid.
One cannot be able to claim refund for taxes paid unless he files the return.
there is a option to file returns after due date For that you need to get permission from AO. AO may give permission after accepting your valid reasons given in the condonation request.
