yes, MR.A can claim u/s 80 .because mr.x is dependent to mr.a.

Yes, Mr A can claim deduction u/s 80d

I don't  think Mr.A can claim the deduction of Mr.X [dependent Brother] under sec 80D as per law its applicable only for dependent spouse, children and parents.

Mediclaim paid for self, spouse or children of the assessee can be claimed as deduction.

Also, mediclaim paid for dependant parents can be claimed.

But, it CANNOT be claimed for mediclaim paid Brothers or Sisters.

Message posted from Mr. Prateek Agarwal seems to be correct.

Thank You All....

The Deduction is Allowed to Assessee, his spouse, children & Dependent Parent.......

Mr. Prateek Agarwal sir is correct

Agree  with the above statement by Prateek ...

80 D doesn't incl dependent brother or sister

Not Claim u/s 80 Mr. A . Becouse. as per law  assesse only claim  his spouse, children & Dependent Parent. not for brother & sister.

Agreed with the same...

No I don't think Mr A will get the benifit of Mediclaim u/s 80D because it is applicable only  for dependent children, spose and parents of the assesse.
