Section 8 companies gst registration

hlo seniors,

greetings of the day,

is section 8 companies who is doing social works are liable to get registered under gst act ??
please refer section also if possible.

Getting registered under GST is depend upon the transactions of an entity. Motive of profitability will not deal. N number of companies registered under Section 8 of Comapnies act has been taken registration under GST Act.

We are getting donation. shall we apply for registration ?? threshold limit is Crossed as well.

Trusts, societies, and Section 8 companies are considered taxable persons under GST if they do not engage in economic activity, such as trade or commerce.
